Curbside meals second-chance pick up
Families, if you missed the deadline for completing the order form for meals, they can still be picked up from 9:30-10:30 a.m. or 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13 with proof of enrollment. Visit the curbside meals page for details and pick-up locations. Please note: Couch Elementary School, Garland ISD Alternative Education Center, Memorial Pathway Academy and Pathfinder Achievement Center are not pick-up locations.

GISD Trustees unanimously calls for Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election
Garland ISD’s Board of Trustees is continuing our tradition of innovation with a unique Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE) that, if approved, will generate additional funds from the state while also lowering the 2020-21 property tax rate by nearly 5 cents. Trustees unanimously called the VATRE Aug. 11, and it will be included on the upcoming November ballot.
