At Garland ISD, the health and safety of students and staff is our top priority. We also want to ensure our students can pursue their passions, such as visual and perfoming arts. The district recently purchased special face masks and instrument covers to protect all music students as they learn, practice and perform.
The face masks have a special opening at the mouth that allows students to safely wear their masks while playing their instruments. Additionally, the branded covers for the bells of instruments help prevent the spread of respiratory droplets. All students remain socially distanced while at practice and even while marching.
